Travel can be quite complicated, but Apple has provided some small but valuable tools that make planning a trip with an iPhone a little easier.
iPhone constantly adapts to its users, making daily tasks easier and faster, including travel. Mobile phone owners already benefit from a camera, music player and phone in one device, taking up virtually no space. The Apple Store has many apps that can be used to plan a Hawaii vacation, but Apple also includes features in the iPhone that will help you before and during the trip.
Since the release of the iPhone in 2007, Apple has dedicated its brand to revolutionizing the user experience. With each update, developers bring dynamic features to iOS that add convenience to life. Apple seems adept at finding weak spots and coming up with better and more effective solutions.
Apple knows that, more often than not, travelers share their flight information. Perhaps to send the details to other travelers or to keep family members informed of their safe arrival. It’s easy for iPhone users to see flight details right from their texts. The text will be underlined whenever a flight number is included in a message. A preview of the flight will appear after tapping on the underlined text. User can ‘Flight overview‘ Where ‘Copy flight code‘ from the pop-up window. There ‘Flight overview‘ opens a new window with information about the airline, status, departure and arrival. It will even display baggage claim locations at the airport. Rather than searching Google, iPhone users can now locate this information with a click.
Using Search and Spotlight Maps
Spotlight searches can also provide flight information. Swiping to the far right of the home screen will reveal Spotlight Search. Simply paste the flight number into the search bar at the top. Multiple results will be displayed. Tap on the entry that contains the flight schedule. This method will also show an option for ‘Open cards‘ basically. When selected, the user can choose between the departure or arrival airport. Maps will load once an airport is selected. In addition to displaying the airport, the screen will also display airport information, such as food options. Click any option; the map will show the airport layout and mark the relevant location. By having the airport schematic readily available, getting lost will no longer become a problem.
Another Maps travel hack is Guides. This tool allows users to organize specific travel destinations such as parks, tourist attractions or theme parks. This list could include places already visited or planned to visit in the future. To create a guide, tap the profile icon in Maps. A menu will appear. Picking out ‘guides‘ among the options. The screen will change to a list of already created guides. To create a new one, press the ‘+’ located in the lower right corner. The individual can personalize their guide using the image and name options. At the bottom of the Map home screen, Apple offers organized guides. Although in an unfamiliar area, these guides put together by Apple and third parties are a great way to find recommendations.
There are other iPhone features worth mentioning. Apple Wallet, for example, is a convenient way to store boarding passes. Plus, it’s a great alternative to carrying every credit card you own. When you visit a country with an unknown language, ask Siri to translate, and AI can help you break the language barrier. Updating iOS is essential as Apple continuously releases new utilities to improve user’s life. With many ways to enjoy a iPhone while exploring the world, it’s no wonder consumers are so loyal to the brand.
