While there might not be an exciting few weeks as no product releases are expected, Apple might not disappoint its loyal customer base and have a plethora of devices to show off. One of them is the new MacBook Pro family, while the others are two new iPad models, which a new report says are on track for release later this year.
Journalist says coming weeks will be light on news
According to Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, the next few weeks aren’t going to be exciting as there isn’t a lot of news expected. However, in the coming months, Apple could get almost everyone excited as newer MacBook Pro models, along with a low-cost iPad and iPad mini, could be scheduled for release. While the iPad mini has been waiting for an update for a long time, the majority of eyes will be on newer laptops.
A previous prediction from an informant says Apple is expected to release a 14in and 16in MacBook Pro in late October or early November, and in those builds we should expect a new Mac mini as well. Two of Apple’s biggest concerns when releasing new MacBook Pro models are the continued shortage of chips and the production of mini-LEDs. While the tech giant has reportedly added a new vendor to help with the production load, and with TSMC prioritizing chip shipments for Apple, other factors could come into play later.
At launch, it is possible that limited units of the newer MacBook Pro models will be available to customers, with stock levels likely increasing shortly thereafter. In related news, Gurman reports that Apple is exploring larger iPad screen designs that exceed the 12.9-inch threshold. Whether or not we will see these products materialize, only time will tell.
