iPhone Features You Probably Didn’t Know Were There

Your iPhone has so much to offer and the truth is most people don’t know much about it. They use their phones to take pictures, read the news and check social networks. It’s a shame because there’s so much more you can do with your iPhone, ranging from making a Ria money transfer to help your friends watch the latest streaming movie.

Although there are several features that you will surely like, here are some that you should consider which are quite interesting and useful.

Voice command

With voice control, you can do more things than you initially imagine. Enable it on iPhone to open apps, browse through them, lock the screen, and control most actions you use regularly. Just go to Settings, then Accessibility, navigate to Voice Control, then tap “Set up Voice Control”. You will go through a simple setup and you are done. This is also where you can create new voice commands that aren’t already included.

Remember that it can be quite difficult to learn how to use voice control if you’ve never done it before. So, enable Show tips.

Quickly share location

It is surprising to see that most iPhone users do not know how to share their location in the fastest way possible. To do this, open the Messenger app. Enter the chat thread of the person you want to share the location with. Then, quickly write “I’m there”. Press Space and tap Current Location. The app will then send the location to the person you opened a chat thread with.

Measurement app

Did you know you can use your iPhone as a tape measure? We don’t always have a tape measure with us, so the Measurement app is the next best thing. The app uses AR and the camera on the device. Then it records the measurements in a very interactive way. Open the app and wait for the circle to appear. Place it at the starting point. Press the “+” sign. Then move to the endpoint. Press “+” again. You will then see the dimensions of the measured item on the screen.

Drag to text

This feature is really cool and changes the way you write. When you want to compose an email, an SMS, or any other document, you can do it by swiping. You just jump from letter to letter and create the words you want. You no longer need to press individual letters. Although it takes some getting used to this method of writing, it ultimately allows you to compose your texts much faster.

If the feature is not enabled on your iPhone, you can find it in the Keyboard Settings menu.

Automated call silencer

Last but not least, Robocalls helps you manage automated telemarketing calls. Go to Settings, then Phone, and turn on Disable Unknown Callers. Thus, all calls from unknown numbers reach your voicemail. You don’t even hear the ringtone and you can delete them later.
