With so many Apple devices around, it can be difficult to know which tablet, computer, or phone is the most recent. This is especially true of the iPad family, where there are not only a lot of different models, but also many different generations.

But fear not, if you’re wondering which of the many iPads is the newest, we’ve got an answer for you. Be careful, it’s long.

There are currently four different models of iPad: iPad Mini, iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. Out of the four of them, there are three different generations, and we may have another round of updates soon.
