Apple registers several iPad models in the Eurasian Database (EEC), are these the next iPad Mini and iPad models (2021)?

Apple, at the Spring Loaded event, unveiled a bunch of new products. Among the list of new products was the iPad Pro 2021. Both Pro tablets come with an M1 chip found on the iMac 2021 and MacBook models. Now it looks like Apple is gearing up to launch more iPads later this year. The company has registered up to nine iPads with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). These model identifiers have the numbers A2568, A2569, A2589, A2604, A2377, A2378, A2567, A2588, A2602. Let’s take a look at the details of the next iPads listed on the EEC.

Apple registers nine new iPad models to Eurasian Economic Commission

Apple could launch more iPad models later this year. The company has registered a total of nine iPad models with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The EEC list doesn’t reveal much about upcoming Apple products. It only reveals the model numbers of the models. These are A2568, A2569, A2589, A2604, A2377, A2378, A2567, A2588, A2602. The list also includes repositories for the fifth generation AirPort Time Capsule and AirPort Express. It’s surprising to see this as both devices were discontinued in 2018. These could be the model numbers of the recently launched 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPads Pro. Both models were unveiled at the Spring Loaded event on April 20.

It is currently not known which iPads Apple is working on. The company has already released the 2021 M1 iPad Pro models. The iPad Air 2020 was unveiled in September of last year alongside the 8th generation iPad. This means that Apple could refresh the iPad mini.

Some leaked rumors suggest that the mini 6 will have a square design with minimal trimming around the edges. Apple may move the Touch ID from the home button and place it on the power button like the iPad Air 2020. It will also feature a larger 8.5-inch or 9-inch screen instead of the 7.9-inch screen.

A recent report by 9to5Mac, quoting Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives, said Apple may launch the iPad mini 6 and a low-cost version at the Spring Loaded event. Although this did not happen, we assume that these models are the registered identifiers with the EEC. Apple could launch the new iPads at WWDC 2021 or later this year.

We’ll share more details on upcoming iPads as more information becomes available. What do you think of the next Apple tablets? Let us know in the comments below.
