IPhone owners can feel like they have a brand new smartphone.
Apple rolled out iOS 15 on Monday. This is the latest update to the operating system that powers his iPhone.
The arrival of iOS 15 precedes the launch of iPhone 13 on September 24, which is available in standard, Mini, Pro, and Pro Max models. Pre-orders for the iPhone 13 launched last Friday.
IPhone software update introduces features like FaceTime Portrait mode, the ability to join calls on Android and Windows devices, Focus mode to help users avoid distractions created by notifications and changes made Weather and Maps applications.

If you’ve been following iOS 15, you’ve probably heard of all of these features. Here are six features that went unnoticed but should make owning an iPhone a lot easier.
Shared with you in messages
When someone shares a link, photo, song, podcast, or other piece of content through Messages, it will automatically appear in the corresponding app. For example, does your partner or spouse share a cute photo of your children? You can head over to the Photos app, and it’s automatically available. If someone submits a link, it appears in a special “Shared for you” section on the Safari start page.
Tabs get better on Safari
Apple’s mobile browser gets a makeover. There is a bottom bar where users can search or manage their tabs. It is designed to be used with one hand if necessary. You can swipe up to see all open tabs or swipe left or right to switch between tabs. You can organize your tabs into groups. Another interesting touch: you can scroll the screen to refresh it.
Find iPhone even when it’s turned off
If your smartphone has been turned off or even if it has been erased, the Find My app can still locate it for up to 24 hours. If erased, according to Apple, the Hello screen will show “your device is locked, located, and still yours.” If you’re likely to lose your AirPods, there’s new network support to help you find them if they’re not within Bluetooth range.
Easily organize notes and reminders
Notes app users can add tags to make them easier to find. Add a hashtag and a category like #work, and notes with that tag will group together. There is a tag browser and custom folders that organize notes by tags. You can do the same with your tasks in the Reminders app.
IPhone will get its own authenticator to use on accounts enabled with two-factor authentication. If a site with two-factor authentication requires codes, you can go to Passwords in Settings and have Apple’s Authenticator generate them without the need for a third-party app.
Choose your software update
In Settings, you can choose which software update to apply: either fully upgrading to iOS 15, or staying on iOS 14 and continuing to receive important security updates.
